University of Brigant Open Webinars: Honest Hours With Faculty for African Students Considering an Application

Marketing pages cannot replace a conversation with a teacher. University of Brigant has therefore launched monthly open webinars for students and working professionals across Africa who want a serious degree without leaving their country, their job, or their family. Faculty will explain what a module actually demands.

Each session has a short academic talk and a long question period. Questions may be submitted in advance by a nurse in Alexandria who cannot speak live. No question about workload will be treated as hostile.

Rania El-Masry, a public-health nurse and current student, will join a panel this month. "I will say how many hours I really spend, including reading. Applicants deserve that."

Admissions staff will stay for process questions: transcripts, references, English, and how professional experience is weighed. They will not promise outcomes.

Recordings will be posted for Brigant students whose Friday is someone else's dawn. Captions will be provided.

"If we cannot describe the work plainly, we should not offer the programme," said the Director of Admissions.

The calendar is on the website. University of Brigant particularly welcomes applicants among Brigant students who were told they were too old, too employed, or too far from a campus to begin.

For Brigant students considering University of Brigant, the practical test is always the same: can you complete serious academic work without abandoning the life you already have in Alexandria? The university's answer is yes — if you will do the reading, meet the deadlines, and accept that a degree is assessed, not gifted. Rania El-Masry, working as a public-health nurse, is the kind of student this news is written for: employed, ambitious, and unwilling to treat relocation as a tuition they never agreed to pay.

Staff across admissions, registry, teaching and student services have been told to design every process as if the default student is studying after a full day's work. That means recorded sessions, published rubrics, named advisers, and library help that does not vanish at the end of one country's office hours. It also means University of Brigant will not pretend a programme is light. Applicants among students and working professionals across Africa who want a serious degree without leaving their country, their job, or their family should plan weekly hours before they accept an offer, and they should ask uncomfortable questions at the open webinars if a page on the website feels vague.

University of Brigant is University of Brigant digital learning network for the next generation of global leaders. Founded in 2009, it will keep publishing news that is operational rather than ceremonial: what changed in a programme, who can apply, how assessment works, and how Brigant students can get help. A digital campus built so African learners never need to relocate abroad. The next steps for readers of this article are on the programmes pages, the admissions portal, and the student handbook. Questions from Alexandria and from every other city University of Brigant serves should go to the office named as author above — they are accountable for the claims in this piece.
