Liaise with PSRBs as a university operator—not membership, not accreditation by association.
Online or on campus

Professional-body relationships fail when a university puts a crest on a web page the institute never licensed. This PGCert starts with records, conditions, and student-facing honesty—especially on dual-pathway awards where a PSRB may treat online delivery as a different product. You will practise letters, visit logistics, and condition-tracking. Scottish and UK institutes both appear as examples of process, not as endorsements of Brigant. The certificate is not membership, not CEng, not CIPD, not NMC. Marketing must list what it is not. Capstones use anonymised liaison files. University of Brigant will not imply CIPD, CEng, NMC, or any other membership via this PGCert. You will practise visit logistics, condition tracking, and the withdrawal of a web logo that was never licensed. Ofqual-facing language appears where qualifications regulation and PSRBs overlap; it is literacy, not staff status. Edinburgh campus and tuition-free online students sit the same identity-checked short assessments. A liaison log that contradicts the website is a fail. Dual-pathway disclosure sits in the first annex, not in a footnote after a PSRB visit has already gone badly. Crests stay off the page. PGCert Professional Body Liaison Practice is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 9 months, and the credit total is 15. Students move from Membership, Licence, and Accreditation Distinctions through Membership, Licence, and Accreditation Distinctions; Logo, Crest, and Prospectus Lawful Use; When Online Is a Different Product to a PSRB; Visit Logistics, Evidence Rooms, and Honesty; Scottish and UK Institute Process Comparators, and finish on Scottish and UK Institute Process Comparators. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result. Reading is a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. The artefact a marker expects is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Keep a liaison log that matches public claims Disclose dual-pathway delivery honestly to a PSRB Track conditions without implying membership for students Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
Fifteen credits, nine months: PSRB mapping, dual-pathway disclosure, records and visits, and a supervised liaison dossier. No institute logos.

| UOB821 | Membership, Licence, and Accreditation Distinctions Membership, Licence, and Accreditation Distinctions (UOB821) is a 3-credit course on PGCert Professional Body Liaison Practice, with 30 notional learning hours. By the end, students can apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result, using Membership, Licence, and Accreditation Distinctions as the working context rather than a generic management example. The course is taught in three movements. First, students establish the terms and the decision the course is about. Second, they apply the method to a case, dataset, text, or design and compare it with a weaker alternative. Third, they revise the work after feedback and state what the conclusion cannot support. Preparation uses a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. Seminar time is for the decision, not for reading the materials aloud. Assessment is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. A pass requires a clear method, evidence a marker can check, and an explicit limit. Credit is not awarded for summary alone.

| UOB822 | Logo, Crest, and Prospectus Lawful Use Logo, Crest, and Prospectus Lawful Use (UOB822) is a 3-credit course on PGCert Professional Body Liaison Practice, with 30 notional learning hours. By the end, students can say who decides, under which rule, and draft a note a professional could read, using Logo, Crest, and Prospectus Lawful Use as the working context rather than a generic management example. The course is taught in three movements. First, students establish the terms and the decision the course is about. Second, they apply the method to a case, dataset, text, or design and compare it with a weaker alternative. Third, they revise the work after feedback and state what the conclusion cannot support. Preparation uses a statute or instrument, a case or policy paper, and a commentary. Seminar time is for the decision, not for reading the materials aloud. Assessment is a memo or draft clause with sources and a revision note. A pass requires a clear method, evidence a marker can check, and an explicit limit. Credit is not awarded for summary alone. This course is academic. It does not admit the student to practise law and it is not a qualifying law degree.
